About US Pack 499 Virginia Beach, VA
Pack 499 is a fun and exciting for kids and parents to have FUN plus work on skills you just don't get in school. Pack 499 has been around for 45 years and still going strong.
Using BSA set principles and guidelines our volunteers plan a packed year round program locally in Virginia Beach with boys from both Arrowhead Elementary and Point of View Elementary, in addition to some who attend private schools. We are a diverse group, and all of our leaders are background checked and devoted to putting forth the best scouting program. We meet at hours that are convenient for families. Scouting is a family activity. Our parents are very involved as the program requires family participation. Our families are diverse as well.
Pack 499 would like for you to join in on all the fun, all you have to do is come and see how much fun you can have in this pack. There are many ways the core values of scouting are taught through hands on learning, playing games, comunity service projects, crafting, biking, hiking, camping, fishing, going on field trips, plus we have overnights in some places like the zoo, air and space museum, an annual Pinewood Derby, and an annual May Family Camp-out.
